They, my feet,
got tired from walking
that endless road leading
to now, here,
now|here.
- at least that is what they told each other,
one night-
while I couldn't sleep.
Now I know this is what cramps are all about,
a conversation between my left and right foot.
It’s quite a while since
they, my feet,
took over from
my knees and all of a sudden
I pitied them.
They, my feet,
got bored from talking
to each other since what
seems, an eternity
- at least to them -
So, they, yes, my feet, came to the decision
to involve my calves in their conversations.
What started as a lively chat
turned out, seen
the convulsions and spasms,
into a jactitation.
They, my feet,
left me with no other option
than to counter attack as I was tired from all the complains about,
socks, shoes, saunter, stroll
running, walking and how do they dare
to complain about dancing!?
Before you start pitying me…
Out of a news item
in yesterday's newspaper,
Nshuti (*) declared:
“I’m at war with my feet and their allies;
well, I was till
I found out I
have associates.
Tired of the jabber too
my toes joined the battle and later
my feet slept tired
after a tiptoeing dance session.”
Order! Order!
